A newspaper article (Lancaster New Era, Wed. 2 May 1928, p2) announced the completion of the chime, played briefly by its installer.  The following week, another article (Lancaster Intelligencer Journal, Monday 10 Sep 1928, Mon, p3) about the dedication of the church included a few mentions of the chime.
