The city's online newspaper, Ardmoreite.com, once had good articles about the bells' removal in Dec'2002 and their return in Mar'2004. Each accompanying photo is clickable to see a larger version.

A photo of the building (pre-removal) makes clear that the chime is on the tower roof, not in the belfry.  The new frame is made of steel instead of timber, but retains the original cast-iron A-frames to support the swingable tenor bell.
